Changing Gears is a full-service nonprofit bike shop which offers professional repairs, new & used bikes/parts sales, job training, volunteer/community service opportunities, and DIY bike stand rentals. Our mission is to provide high quality bicycle services which meet the needs of all visitors.
Founded in 2006, located in the City of Alameda on the decommissioned Alameda Naval Air Station (now Alameda Point), the shop helps recycle and reuse an average of 1000 bikes each year. Thanks for visiting and for all the continued support!
